George Gikanga commended Amref for demonstrating strong commitment to improving health among the community

George Gikanga commended Amref for demonstrating strong commitment to improving children’s health and community wellbeing.
Hon. Gikanga noted that the initiative reflects effective collaboration between development partners and local government leadership in addressing grassroots health challenges. He emphasized that good health among school-going children is a critical foundation for quality education and overall community development.
“By investing in the health of our children today, we are building a stronger community and a more productive nation tomorrow. Health education and hygiene promotion in schools are key steps in reducing disease burden and improving school attendance,” said Hon. Gikanga.
The MCA pledged continued collaboration with organizations such as Amref to support health, sanitation, and education programs in public schools across Mwihoko Ward. He also urged parents, teachers, and the wider community to reinforce health lessons taught in schools at home.
