The meeting, held in Nairobi, brought together faith leaders and senior IEBC officials to discuss preparations for upcoming electoral processes and the role of religious institutions in promoting unity and civic responsibility.
Speaking during the engagement, the IEBC Chair assured stakeholders that the commission is strengthening systems and procedures to safeguard the integrity of elections. He emphasized that fairness, professionalism, and accountability remain central to the commission’s mandate.
“We are committed to delivering elections that reflect the will of the people. We will work closely with all partners to ensure peace and credibility,” he said.
EAK leaders welcomed the assurance and pledged to continue mobilizing churches to encourage voter education, peaceful participation, and respect for democratic outcomes.
The meeting ended with a shared commitment to collaboration in promoting harmony and public trust in Kenya’s electoral process.
