ODM Youth Leader Brian Midiwo Oppose Sifuna’s Ouster Amid Party Turmoil
ODM youth leader Hon. Brian Midiwo have come out strongly against the removal of Secretary General Edwin Sifuna, urging the party to resolve its internal differences through dialogue and established structures.
Speaking at a press conference he expressed concern over the ongoing wrangles within the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), warning that abrupt leadership changes could deepen divisions rather than restore stability.
Midiwo maintained that the youth wing does not support Sifuna’s ouster, terming the move unnecessary at a time when the party should be consolidating unity. He emphasized that disagreements within ODM must be handled democratically and in line with the party constitution.
Mama Ida echoed similar sentiments, calling for calm and restraint among members. She urged party officials to prioritize cohesion, respect institutional processes, and protect the legacy and stability of the movement.
Both leaders described the current turbulence as a defining moment for ODM, appealing to members to avoid actions that could weaken the party ahead of future political engagements.
They called for constructive engagement and internal dialogue to safeguard the party’s unity and long-term strength
