The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has officially issued nomination certificates to winners of its recent party nominations in Emurua Dikirr Constituency (Narok County), Poro Ward (Samburu County), and Endo Ward (Elgeyo‑Marwet County) — using the party’s advanced IT nomination system to ensure transparent registration, payment verification, and certification.
At the media presentation, Secretary‑General Hassan Omar Hassan underscored UDA’s commitment to internal democracy and organisational efficiency, urging party members to unite behind the certified candidates as they prepare for upcoming by‑elections. He highlighted that these nominations reflect UDA’s readiness to consolidate support ahead of the 2027 General Elections.
His remarks also came against a broader political backdrop in Kenya: the ruling party has recently strengthened its position by winning a series of by‑elections, demonstrating grassroots mobilisation and organisational strength. Meanwhile, the opposition is undergoing realignments and unity talks as it seeks to present a cohesive challenge ahead of 2027, with debates over coalition leadership and candidate selection ongoing. These dynamics are occurring alongside national concerns such as large‑scale flooding response efforts and ongoing policy initiatives as the country prepares for the next electoral cycle.
