Residents of Claycity Ward Urged to Support Proven Leadership Ahead of 2027
Residents of Claycity Ward have been urged to begin reflecting early on their future leadership choices, despite the 2027 general elections still being some time away.
Speaking as a concerned citizen, one resident called on the community to recognize and appreciate the leadership of their current Member of County Assembly (MCA), Mwaura Samora.
According to the statement, Samora is a leader well known to the people, having grown up within the community. Residents are familiar with his background, his journey, and his commitment to public service.
The resident noted that during his first term in office, the MCA demonstrated commendable performance, earning the trust of the electorate. Now in his second term, he is said to have maintained consistency in leadership, remaining accessible, humble, and closely connected to the people.
“He has not changed. He remains approachable, listens to wananchi, and is easily reachable even through platforms like WhatsApp,” the resident stated.
The message further emphasized that leadership should be about service rather than personal gain, pointing out that while some individuals seek leadership positions for selfish interests, Samora has shown a different approach focused on the welfare of the community.
Residents were therefore advised to consider continuity in leadership if the MCA seeks another term, rather than rushing to make changes without clear justification.
“Tuchague maendeleo, tuchague uongozi ambao tayari umejidhihirisha,” the resident urged.
The call concluded with a reminder to voters to remain vigilant and avoid being misled, emphasizing that the track record and capability of a leader should guide their decisions.
