In a strong statement following a Central Committee meeting, the party resolved to intensify mobilisation efforts across the country, particularly in its strongholds, while urging members in areas with pending grassroots elections to urgently resolve disputes through internal mechanisms to ensure cohesion and progress.

As part of its revitalisation strategy, ODM will roll out a series of county tours and youth conventions in 25 counties aimed at re-energising its base. The programme kicks off in Nairobi on April 20, followed by Mombasa on April 26, before a scheduled break in early May for a joint NEC and governance retreat.

The party also reaffirmed its commitment to unity and internal democracy ahead of the next general election, pledging free and fair nominations without favoritism. A new digital portal for aspirants seeking elective positions will be launched soon.

At the same time, ODM raised concern over recent public remarks by some senior officials from its broad-based partner, UDA, warning that such statements risk creating unnecessary tension among its members. The party called for mutual respect within the partnership.
On the economy, ODM expressed alarm over rising fuel prices and the growing cost of living, urging the government to take stronger measures to cushion Kenyans despite prevailing global economic pressures.
